Ode to a Nightingale-explanation

EXPLANATION OF KEATS'S ODE TO A NIGHTINGALE

"WHERE BUT TO THINK IS TO BE FULL OF SORROW"
Here,Keats generalized the misery of the human beings. Here men suffer from ennui, boredom that siphon off the cream of man's life.Keats blames man's rationality for the bulk of the problem. The world is like a 'vale of tears',where whatever subject man thinks of, is fraught with sorrow. The lines remember us of Wordsworth's evaluation of the world,'the fretful stir unprofitable and the fever of the world'.Young people, who should be at the prime of their health, suffer from disease and become emaciated enough to look like a skeleton.Nor is love able to survive long, but seek variations. Beauty is also transient an ephemeral. The lines covert references to the death of his brother tom,his struggle against grovelling poverty, his newly-fangled love for Fanny Brawne ,which hastened his tragic end.
